Meet our all volunteer Team
Meet our Team
Everyone who contributes to the Cache County Christmas Car Project is part of our fantastic team. However, we do want to take a minute and highlight some of the key players.

The Hansens
Meet Jason and Kristie Hansen
Jason Hansen is the driving force behind the Cache County Christmas Car Project. As a skilled mechanic, he uses his expertise to make a difference, all while serving his community as a member of Cache County Search and Rescue and the Hyrum City Fire Department.
Kristie Hansen helps bring Jason’s big ideas to life, turning his vision into reality. She balances her time between working at Utah State University and serving in the United States Army Reserves, all while playing a key role in the project’s success.
Married for 21 years, Jason and Kristie have three kids and share a love for National Parks, grilling and smoking delicious food, and tackling exciting adventures together. Both proudly serve as board members, dedicating their time and passion to making a lasting impact.

The Mortensens
Meet Ty and Kandice Mortinsen
Ty and Kandice Mortinsen have been dedicated supporters of the Cache County Christmas Car Project since 2021. Ty serves alongside Jason on Cache County Search and Rescue and also happens to be great friends with Santa, making the holiday season extra special!
Kandice is a pro at helping Santa get ready at a moment’s notice, any time of year. She is currently pursuing her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree at Weber State University while also showcasing her incredible talent as a photographer—many of the amazing photos on this site are thanks to her!
Together, Ty and Kandice have three children and are deeply committed to serving their community. Both proudly serve as board members, using their time and talents to support our mission.

Santa Claus
Santa serves as our dedicated Delivery Coordinator, ensuring that Christmas Cars make it to their new homes with a touch of holiday magic. While he stays incredibly busy during the holiday season, he never hesitates to drop what he’s doing to help deliver a vehicle to someone in need.
But Santa’s magic isn’t just for December—his spirit of giving shines all year long, bringing joy and hope to families whenever the need arises. We’re so grateful for his kindness and dedication to making a difference, one car at a time!
Christmas Car Project Volunteers
Meet Our Incredible Volunteers
Our mission wouldn’t be possible without the generosity and dedication of our amazing volunteers. From donating time and skills to providing resources and support, each of these individuals plays a vital role in helping us serve our community. Whether it's crafting keychains, managing IT, designing artwork, or lending a helping hand wherever needed, their kindness and commitment make a lasting impact. We are so grateful for their contributions—meet the incredible people who make it all happen!

Nick and Brittany DiSalvo
Nick and Brittany, the talented duo behind Cache Valley Designs, generously donate their time and materials to create our custom keychains and Christmas ornaments. Their kindness doesn’t stop there—Nick also serves the community as a member of the Hyrum City Fire Department and Cache County Search and Rescue alongside Jason and Ty. Since 2024, they have been dedicating their skills and time to making a difference, and we are so grateful for their support!

April Kelley
April is a U. S. Army Veteran, single mom of two and proud volunteer with the Cache County Christmas Car Project. After receiving a car through the program herself, she was inspired to give back and help others find hope and independence. Passionate about supporting single parents and survivors of domestic violence, April now combines her work in the medical field with a deep commitment to serving her community. Her courage and fierceness is an inspiration to us all!

Amy Simmons
Amy, the Owner and CEO of Salt Hollow Massage, has a heart for giving back. She generously shares her business space for community events, including our 2023 Wrapping Party, creating a welcoming place for volunteers to come together. Since 2024, she has been actively volunteering her time and support, making a meaningful impact on our mission. We’re so grateful for her generosity and community spirit!

Scott and Marla Boyer
Scott and Marla Boyer have a clear passion for helping others and giving back to the community. Whether it's coordinating local donation drives, mentoring young adults, or lending a hand with car repairs, this dedicated couple is always ready to step up. Marly is also a musician, playing folk, country and gospel. Check out her music HERE. We’re proud to have them as part of our mission!

Natalie Myers
Natalie Myers is a dedicated single mother and foster parent who is passionate about providing a stable, loving home for children in need. She has been an important part of the Christmas Car Project team as a volunteer car detailer, using her skills to clean and polish cars and help prepare them for the families we serve. When she’s not making a difference in the lives of others, Natalie enjoys playing pool and spending time with friends and family. We love Natalie's dedication and selflessness!

Becky Hemsley
Becky Hemsley was an enormous help to the Christmas Car Project when she nominated her family member for a car in 2023. Seeing firsthand the impact of the program, she felt inspired to give back. Now, since 2024, Becky has been regularly volunteering her time, bringing her dedication and compassion to help others in need. Her enthusiasm and willingness to step up make her an invaluable part of our mission!

Ashe Hansen
Ashe has been a creative force behind the Cache County Christmas Car Project since 2016. As the daughter of Jason and Kristie, she has shown her dedication by designing and creating beautiful Christmas cards and logos that bring a personal touch to our mission. Her artistic talents and commitment help spread joy and make our project even more special. We’re so grateful for her contributions!

Mike Kelley
Mike is the tech wizard behind the scenes, developing, fixing, and managing all the IT tasks that go way over Kristie’s head! Thanks to his generosity with his time, funds, and expertise, our organization runs smoothly—he’s even the reason we have a website! His dedication and problem-solving skills keep everything connected, and we couldn’t do it without him. Thank you, Mike!

Mike Weeks
Mike Weeks was our original friend of Santa. He passed away Sept 25 2024. Thank you Mike for your years of service to the Christmas Car Project. Your laughter and joy was contagious, and we will miss you, dear friend.
